There is no doubt that our community cherishes the old building and gardens and the Territory history that Government House represents.
A great deal of support has been received from Territorians and interstate visitors who wish to see it presented to optimum effect, both now and in the long-term.
The Foundation was formed on 11 December 1998 to conserve and enhance Government House, to encourage public interest in this unique and valuable heritage site, to raise funds independent of government, to promote the unique and important historical role of the House, and to enable more Australians to participate in the life of the House.
